I recently came into contact with a wonderful lady named Charlotte Champagne who mentioned she had some photos of Jefferson College.  I asked her if she would like to share them and you can tell from the email below that she was gracious enough to agree to do so!

Jana,
I would be happy to share the photos I have from when my grandfather attended Jefferson College.  These photos consist of Jefferson College Tennis Team, Jefferson College Band in uniform with instruments in front of school, a group photo which I believe is a debate team (my grandfather is in this one) and a photo portrait of my grandfathers' older brother in Jefferson College uniform...

She has also been gracious enough to share school records and other items she has obtained.

Charlotte is a descendant of Jean Baptiste Champagne and Marie Charlotte Edelmayer through their youngest son Evariste and his wife Calixte Schexnayer. Her grandfather was Paul Joseph Champagne.  For a more complete background on Charlotte's family, go to the Surnames section of this website and click on her name!

Thank You Charlotte!

Another Big Thank You! goes to Wylma Duplantis Dusenbery and her daughter Veronica Dusenbery Trahan.  They submitted a beautiful picture of the old St John Church taken around 1904.

For more information on their lines, go to the Surname section and of this website and click on Veronica's name.
Thank You Ladies!

The German German-Acadian Coast Historical & Genealogical Society website has a new look, and lots of new information!  Jay
Schexnaydre deserves a BIG hand for all his hard work!
